What is an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC)?
An AMC is a scheduled servicing agreement for your lift or automation system — quarterly, bi-annual or annual. Each visit inspects, cleans and adjusts the equipment and records what was done. For a lift in daily use it is usually cheaper than paying for emergency call-outs.
Will Smartrise service a lift another company installed?
Yes. We take on maintenance contracts for equipment we did not install, including other manufacturers. Share the brand, model and approximate age when you ask for a quote; we inspect it and confirm what the contract covers before anyone commits.
How do I know when maintenance is due?
Visits are scheduled in advance, and your contract has renewal reminders three, two and one month before it ends, by email, SMS or WhatsApp. Service reports and visit updates are available in the customer portal.
Can an older lift be connected and monitored?
Yes. The Smartrise IoT Gateway retrofits to conventional and modern lifts of any brand, adding call control and intercom managed from a mobile app, a web app or your control-room BMS over 4G and LAN.

How often should a lift be serviced?
It depends on use; our contracts run quarterly, bi-annually or annually. A SwiftLifts home lift is typically serviced every six months for about $100.
Do you maintain escalators too?
Yes, escalators can be covered, and the IoT Gateway supports escalators as well.
Where do you provide maintenance?
From our base in Dar es Salaam we cover mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar, and take on projects in Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia and the DRC.
