Residential home lifts — SwiftLifts

A home lift that keeps running when the power goes off.

Quick answer

Smartrise installs SwiftLifts home lifts in Tanzania for houses and small buildings up to 6 storeys. An EcoDrive battery pack recharges as the car travels down, so the lift keeps working through a mains outage and draws about 900 W — less than a microwave. Servicing costs roughly $100 every six months, and SwiftLifts carry a 10-year warranty.

Does a home lift work during a power cut?

Yes. The EcoDrive battery pack powers the lift and recharges on every trip down, so a mains outage does not leave anyone stuck between floors. The AntiTrap safety system and dual safety brakes add another layer of protection.

Which SwiftLifts model is right for my home?

SWIFT Pro has a 10-inch touch display and comes in 6 sizes and 5 colours for a fuller-featured install. SWIFT Lite is a compact model with classic buttons. Both serve up to 6 storeys and both are warrantied; the site survey tells you which fits your space.

Can a lift be added to an existing house?

Usually, yes. Home lifts are designed to retrofit into existing houses without major structural work. A free site survey checks the available space, floor structure and power supply before we commit to an approach and a price.

What does a home lift cost to run and maintain?

It draws about 900 W, so running costs are modest, and servicing is roughly $100 every six months. Installation is priced per site — floors served, shaft or hoistway, and finish — after the free survey.
